Another Crazy Week!

I was sitting here trying to remember everything that happened this past week.  Sometimes that's just really hard to do.  I have not been quite as busy as before with customers, but still busy.  I did manage a few days off from the bed and breakfast and caught up on some things at home.  I had a lymph node massage on Wednesday, and I honestly cannot believe how much better I feel!  I had a 30 minute one done several weeks ago, and didn't really notice anything.  This time I did though-my nose was running like crazy, I could breathe normally, which for me is a big thing!  I have a lot of allergies and always have, and I also have asthma.  Since we have had all of this rain, my allergies are out of control.  I was so excited to feel better, I made an appointment to have one done every other month.  Jeff and I have been bickering about if that is enough.  He wants me to go every month, but I just don't have the time, and it's a little expensive, especially if you do it all the time.  So for now, every other month.

There has been a little less drama with the kids this week, although there is always something.  We celebrated Wyatt's 19th birthday on Wednesday.  Where does the time go?  Anyway, he has been having a lot of fun with his birthday present.  We gave him money to get his bow and arrow set worked on so he can fish with it.  He has been gone every day doing that.  I just hope he stays safe and out of trouble.

Last Friday, my friend and I went on another little adventure.  We have so much fun on our little trips!  First, we went to eat (that's always important), then we went to Morrison to the big flat sale, and loaded up on flowers.  Next, we went to Owensville to a daylily farm.  We wandered around looking, and then you go tell the owners what you want, and they dig it for you, marked and all.  It was hard to pick from all of them.  If I can figure out how to do it, I will post a link for you...  http://www.homesteadfarms.com/
We had a lot of fun, and will be going back!
The other big excitement is that we are now the proud owners of a 963 Trackloader.  What is that, you ask?  I'm not sure, other than it is a GIANT piece of equipment with a super big loader thingy.  Jeff could fill you in on what it really is.  He has a job lined up for it already, so that's good.  Wyatt and Jeff are in Columbia working on it today, and spending quality time together.  He will be bringing it home soon.

We have a full house tonight at the bed and breakfast and 3 rooms full for the next two nights.  I will be busy for a while!  After that, it will slow down considerably.  I plan to visit family in Iowa, go camping, and work on flower beds.  I have one flower bed that has been over-run with poison ivy.  It will be going away, and we will plant grass there.  I helped my sister in law dig a few things out of there the other day, and now I am broken out-AGAIN (I think that's like 6 times this summer so far)!!  I hate it!  Something needs to change when it is becoming that kind of a problem.  So I have given away most of my hostas, and have a few more things to move.  I want Jeff to either poison what is left or light it on fire.  Then the plan is to put cardboard over it until fall to be sure it's good and dead, then plant grass.

I am also working on a cookbook, after years of talking about it.  My kids, esp. the girls get aggravated at me because I have a lot of that stuff in my head.  I just do it, and don't worry about it much.  I'm not much of a measurer, so I dump stuff.  It almost never comes out the same, but I am trying to be better about it.  I have had many customers ask for recipes as well.  I have gotten just about all of the recipes entered into the software, I just have to wait for a few others to give me recipes.  After that, it's proofing them, and picking out the specifications for the cookbook.  I am so excited about it, mostly because all of my recipes will now be in one place!  Wish me luck!!

Let's see what this next week has in store for us...

  2. Oh, and those seeding plants on the top won't help your allergies either. Just kidding.
