Ok, this is the 2nd try. I don't know if I will figure this out or not, but I will try. I am hoping this will be a combination blog, and will be a way for family, friends, and customers to keep up w/me, and what's happening in our little world.
Today is a catch up day! We have been very busy at the bed and breakfast, which is a good thing, but I need to get caught up at home. Jeff has been working a bunch of overtime, trying to figure out this truck he's been working on for 2 weeks. He is getting cranky about it. The day started out w/fixing breakfast for some interesting customers. They have the same last name as us, and the spelling is the same, which is unusual. I am wondering if they are related to Jeff's family. It's a possibility since some of Jeff's family is in St. Charles, and this guy grew up in St. Louis. There are a lot of similarities, like they both farm, and they also both barter things. An example of this is that Jeff trades 1/2 a hog for about 30 chickens. This guy trades things in exchange for homemade bread, as well as other deals! LOL! It would be interesting to check into the family histories. I served them fruit salad, bacon, scrambled eggs w/cheese and strawberry stuffed french toast. It seemed to to go over well. Then I mowed grass for almost 3 hours, went shopping and am keeping both washing machines going. I also have both clotheslines full! I am making chicken and veggie kabobs for supper. I might get brave and post some pictures later, but I'm not sure yet.
Anyway, stay tuned if you like. I'm not sure how often I will keep up w/this, but I will try to update regularly. :)
